He was named “Nado” for surviving the tornado and brought to a vet to be examined. The sweet boy is recovering nicely and seems to already have a forever home.

Miraculously, all the animals were unharmed.

Tall Tails Rescue and Transport stepped up to take in the displaced shelter dogs and help them find loving homes. All of the dogs were examined and vetted and the shelter reports, “The Jacksboro dogs are doing great. More and more their personalities are coming out.”

Kay Wlodarek, director of the dog division of the rescue, told FOX Weather that the roof was off the shelter and it was completely destroyed when she arrived to rescue the dogs. She said, “It was a miracle the dogs survived.”

Four of the eleven dogs have owners and will be reunited with their families. The remaining dogs will be put up for adoption.

People can help by donating much-needed supplies to Tall Tails Rescue. They are always in need of bleach tabs, towels, dog food, blankets, toys, and bully sticks.

These are the Jacksboro kids that will be available pending heartworm checks and spay/neuter.
