Abandoned and homeless animals are still being evacuated from Ukraine and brought to neighboring countries for safety and a new life.
Recently, 40 cats were rescued from a Ukrainian shelter and after a long journey arrived in Berlin, Germany.
As with all animal rescues, it took a team of dedicated and brave individuals to make the strenuous rescue a success.
The cats were taken from the shelter of Irina Dobrol люbova and cared for by volunteers as they made their way to safety.

“This wouldn’t have happened without dedicated volunteers who not only engaged in complex logistics, including finding drivers, sleepover and solving different nuances, but also invested all their time in animal protection, staying overnight, traveling and looking after them,” stated UAnimals.

It was a difficult journey, but well worth it.
The animal rights organization shared the happy news that all had found loving homes. “Despite the fact that the evacuation was very difficult, and the fact that the last cats had to be carried on foot, all the cats are already in Berlin in their new families.”

While these cats will go on to live full and happy lives, there are many more in need of food, care, and loving homes. UAnimals continues to hand out free cat food to Ukrainians and help with evacuations, but they couldn’t do it without their supporters and partners.
