There is no worse feeling than losing your pet. I am thankful that I’ve never had to go through the trauma of having my dog run away.

But for those who have, it’s a very distressing experience – particularly the longer the missing period drags on.

Tyler is a 10-year-old boy that received quite a fright when his beloved dog, Bruiser, took off in pursuit of a rabbit.

The poor boy was left distraught, and after two months had gone by and there was no sign of Bruiser anywhere, Tyler began to lose hope that he would ever be able to find his best friend again.

Fortunately, Tyler was in for a very pleasant surprise.

One day when Tyler came home, he was completely caught off guard when Bruiser came running up to him as if nothing had ever happened.

This very precious and heartwarming reunion was all thanks to the efforts of the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office who located and returned the pooch.
